Land coupon system is an innovative rural land reform in Chongqing, which can strengthen the protection of cultivat-ed land. The paper outlined the developmental status of land coupon trading market, and clarified the necessity and feasibility of o- pening the secondary market of land coupon trading. It was considered that： based on ascertaining the functional orientation of the market, and improving market regulation and supervision mechanism, the secondary market of land coupon trading could be gradual- ly opened.
