Abstract_FL A method of optimal configuration for voltage sage monitoring devices has been proposed based on arriving matrix monitoring in this paper. The arriving matrix is established combining the arriving domain monitoring and the binary rules to be considered as the constraint condition of monitor able voltage sag for the important nodes of all the network. Taking the minimized voltage sag monitoring devices as the objective function,an optimal model has been set up so as to realize the optimal configuration through the model solution. The voltage sag caused by all kinds of short-circuit fault in the system will be able to be captured by at least one monitoring device. Examples and analysis verify the effectiveness and practicality of the method.
