AbstractList | Variable-number tandem repeat (VNTR) and spoligotyping analyses were used to assess transmission of
Mycobacterium bovis
between humans. VNTR was more discriminatory than spoligotyping. Low case numbers, despite a substantial animal reservoir, and resolution of all isolates provided no evidence of recent human-to-human transmission or recent significant infection from animals.
