Previous cytomegalovirus or Chlamydia pneumoniae infection and risk of restenosis after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty

A possible association between cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and restenosis was investigated in a subgroup of patients from the VERAS trial, which was designed to study the effect of octreotide on coronary restenosis after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty.
