Summary:In order to study the effect of deposition time on silver nanoparticles structure, alumina templates with nano-Ag patterns were investigated. After the preparation of alumina templates by anodic oxidation method, the silver coatings were performed using ion beam sputtering method in a vacuum chamber. The effect of deposition time on the properties of Ag nanoparticle deposited on alumina templates was studied through energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrometer, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The results showed that time variation strongly affects the size, form, and structure of Ag nanoparticles.
