Nach mechanischer Inokulation wurde ein Isolat des potato X potexvirus (PVX) von erkrankten Artischocken aus Tunesien isolieri. Das Virus konnte in Anischockensamlingen erfoigreich reinokuliert werden. Das Virus wurde anhand der Reaktioncn mit krautartigen Winspflanzen, der Partikelgrofie, und der Morphologie, Serologie und Zytopathologie identifizicrt.
