Reaction of Some Halogenated Aromatic N-Heterocycles with Hexamethylphosphoric Triamide

Some halogenated pyrazines, pyridines, and quinolines were heated with hexamethyl-phosphoric triamide at 200° to yield the corresponding dimethylamino derivatives in a high yield.
