Modification of attitudes to influence survival from breast cancer

Depression and a helpless/hopeless mindset among patients with breast cancer are associatd with a significantly reduced chance of event-free survival. Factors that need to be addressed when considering the possibility of modifying attitudes to influence survival are examined.
