Abstract | Two concentrated field efforts were conducted during the Northern hemisphere climate-Processes land-surface Experiment (NOPEX), with measurements performed within a range of scales in time and space. The methodology used for scale aggregation is presented to derive flux estimates for comparison. Ultimately, five different methods were used to estimate regional fluxes, and large differences between some of them were obtained. However, the land-use weighting approach worked well for both sensible and latent regional heat fluxes for the NOPEX area. |
