Summary:R 1 OC(O)CH 2 Co(CO) 3 PR 2 3 complexes ( 3 ), (R 1  =  S -EtOC(O)CH(CH 3 ), R 2  = Ph, a ; R 1  = (1 S ,2 R ,5 S )-2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl, R 2  = Ph, b ; R 1  = (1 R ,2 S ,5 R )-2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl, R 2  = Ph, c ; R 1  = isopropyl, R 2 3  = Ph 2 {(1 S ,2 S ,5 R )-2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl}, d ) were prepared and characterized by analyses including IR, 1 H-, 13 C{ 1 H}-, and 31 P{ 1 H} NMR spectra as well as by X-ray diffraction structure determination. Principles of self-organization of chiral conformations were deduced from the structural data.Key words: alkylcobalt carbonyls, cooperative phenomena, intramolecular, chirality, conformations.
