Abstract | Subjects performed three-dimensional (3D) pointing movements as accurately as possible with their eyes closed under four different speed conditions: ‘slow’, ‘normal’, ‘fast’ and ‘maximal’ (peak velocities of 0.62, 1.61, 2.51 and 4.68 m/s, respectively). Movement speed did not significantly affect the magnitude of constant pointing errors, nor that of variable errors, except for movements in the ‘maximal’ condition when peak velocity values larger than 4.5 m/s were reached.
