Abstract | The current investigation aims at the derivation of the basic equations of nonlocal elasticity using the Green’s function technique, in which the analytical expressions have been obtained using contour integration. An investigation of the photo-thermoelastic interaction is analyzed for an infinite semi-conductor with a cylindrical cavity. The surface of the cavity is fixed and subjected to a time-dependent laser pulse and prescribed carrier density. The heat transport law of the study has been carried out in the context of memory-dependent Moore–Gibson–Thompson (MGT) theory of generalized thermoelasticity. Neglecting the higher orders of nonlocality and using the Laplace transform, the fundamental equations have been expressed in the form of a vector-matrix differential equation, which is then solved by eigenvalue approach. Numerical inversion of the Laplace transforms have been determined using the Method of Zakian. From the graphical representations corresponding to the numerical results, the effect of nonlocality parameter and the delay-time is discussed. Significant differences in the results have been reported for a nonlinear form of kernel function. |
