Summary:The positive super-lift Luo-converter is the advanced converter which has a lot of advantages. Thus, the proposed work aims in enhancing positive super-lift Luo-converter performance by using the appropriate passive components and MOSFETs for energy saving. It was taking into consideration that the current variation ratio ξ is < 1 at the applied range of resistance RL and inductance L values using the four different MOSFET types. It was shown that the output voltage reaches its maximum value at RL value > 1.5 kΩ, where the values of 14.3, 14.4, 14 and 13.8 V were reported, at RL value 4.7 kΩ, whenever MTP3055VL, STP32N60L, IRFZ34N and IRF510 MOSFETs were introduced, respectively. Accordingly, output voltage variation ratios, ε values of 4.1%, 1.1%, 0.90% and 0.10%, were recorded, respectively. In addition, the efficiency, η , values reach 91.8%, 90.8%, 87% and 84%, respectively, for the applied MOSFETs and the RL value 4.7 kΩ. Finally, it is proved that a minimum value of the energy losses of 2.4 × 10 −7  mJ in the switching period was obtained using (STP32N60L) MOSFET.
