Summary:Important applied aspects of the numerous scientific problems are the issues of safety of space missions. Among such investigations are the following: ensuring the safety of flights into space by taking into account the presence of clouds of natural and artificial debris in near-Earth orbits, asteroid hazard to the Earth, the problems of formation and evolution of Solar system and other star systems, dynamics, evolution and control of planetary satellite systems of natural and artificial origin. The subject of this study is the formation problem of satellite systems of the planets of Solar system, and the possibility to use such a model to describe the possible areas of accumulation of space debris in near-Earth space. We discuss the possible capture of irregular satellites and the possible capture of cosmic masses in the framework of the plane hyperbolic three-body problem, as well as the plane parabolic three-body problem. •Formation of irregular satellites of planets as a result of interception is considered.•Capture of space debris in the framework of planar parabolic three-body problem is obtained.•Mathematical justification of mobility in the threebody problem is presented.
