Abstract | Since the traditional method may cause the loss of linguistic information, in this paper, we chose the probabilistic linguistic term set (PLTS) to describe the evaluation index for the decision problem, then we propose an improved VIKOR method to select the best hotel. However, the traditional VIKOR method has lost original information and experts' preference information, so the PLTS-VIKOR method is proposed for tourists. In addition, the weaknesses and strengths of traditional weighting methods are analyzed; the BWM and the CRITIC method for PLTS are developed to determine the subject and object weights. Then, a comprehensive combined weighting method based on the minimum total deviation principle is proposed. Further, we integrate the PLTS with all weighting methods. Finally, a case example of 5 online hotels is performed to illustrate the application of the improved approach, and the superiority and effectiveness are proved by comparative analysis. |
