Estimation of outer Helmholtz plane potentials from negative adsorption of co-ions
A method to calculate outer Helmholtz plane potentials ψδ from the negative adsorption of co-ions from particles of known radius is described. Comparison with electrokinetic ζ potentials demonstrates the absence of thick stagnant water layers at the polystyrene-water interface.
