Summary:This paper investigates the problems of exponential stability and robust stabilization for a class of switched nonlinear systems with time-varying delay. Using the average dwell time method, a new exponential stability criterion is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). It is shown that the obtained criteria can provide less conservative results than some existing ones. Then, we propose a state feedback control law which ensures the exponential stability of the closed-loop system. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
