Summary:In recent years, sensitive, selective, and accurate sensing techniques for detecting aniline vapor have been highly demanded due to the widespread use of aniline in various industrial sectors, as well as its volatile nature which can pose a threat to human health and the environment. This review article provides an overview of the commonly used gas sensing techniques for aniline vapor detection. First, the basics of the aniline vapor detection techniques that rely on semiconductor sensors, quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) sensors, fluorescence sensors, and other methods are briefly explained, including a discussion of the different sensing materials used. Finally, the review concludes with an outlook for the future development of high-performance aniline sensors. [Display omitted]
