First of all, even though data are provided in Table 3 to assure us that the biopsied and nonbiopsied patients were comparable, one of the most important comparative features — i.e., the appearance of the local process — is omitted. In 5 of the 14 biopsied patients, the biopsy was done because of a clinical suspicion of the diagnosis of necrotizing cellulitis, but we are not . . .
