Summary:Two stray pups in the Jabalpur were having the history of severe itching, hyperkeratotic skin lesions, alopecia involving face, head, ears, dorsal parts of body and on the leg region. Skin scrapping examination from the infested parts revealed mixed infestation of Demodex spp. and Sarcoptes spp. mites. The animals were treated with injectable ivermectin, multivitamins and topically amitraz. Marked clinical improvement was observed after fourteen day post treatment and complete healing with disappearance of crusts and scabs leading to normal skin was recorded on 28th day post treatment.
