Summary: | Hydrosols of silver nanoparticles chemically modified with cysteine and cysteamine are obtained. Their oxidation with solutions containing active oxygen and chlorine forms is studied. It is shown that the grafted layer of the modifier does not affect the oxidation of the metal core with sodium hypochlorite, but it does have a protective effect in the reaction with hydrogen peroxide. The orders of the reaction for the initial and chemically modified nanoparticles are 1 for sodium hypochlorite, and 0 for hydrogen peroxide. Chemically modified nanoparticles tend to form aggregates. |
