창업가의 배태조직과 창업경험이 형성하는 창업기업의 핵심경영자원에 관한 연구: 한국의 바이오메디컬 산업을 중심으로

This study explored the core management competencies of ventures formed by the entrepreneur's incubator organization and startup experience in the biomedical industry in Korea. An in-depth interview was conducted with 13 entrepreneurs of biomedical ventures. Based on the previous literature, the core management competencies of the ventures, which are influenced by the incubator organization and startup experience, are classified into 'technical competency', 'organization management competency', 'network competency' and 'market pioneering competency'. Analysis of the in-depth interview has revealed 18 factors influencing the formation of the core management competencies of ventures. Qualitative factors that were not addressed by the previous empirical studies were identified in this study. These include 'confidence in technology development', 'way of performing R&D', 'organizational culture' etc. This study is characterized by its scarcity as a qualitative study that deals with the entrepreneurs' prior experience. In addition, this study categorize the core management competencies which are formed by entrepreneurs' incubator organization and startup experience as four factors. This result is expected to be useful in future research. 본 연구는 한국의 바이오메디컬 산업을 중심으로 창업가의 배태조직과 창업경험이 형성하는 창업기업의 핵심경영자원을 탐색적으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 바이오메디컬 분야의 창업가 13인을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 수행하였다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 창업기업의 핵심 경영자원을 크게 기술 역량, 조직관리 역량, 네트워크 역량, 시장개척 역량 등 4가지로 분류하고 이를 중심으로 반구조화된 질문지를 구성하였다. 인터뷰 내용을 정리한 결과, 창업가의 배태조직 및 창업경험이 형성하는 창업기업의 핵심경영자원을 18가지 세부요인으로 구분할 수 있었다. 특히 기존의 실증연구들이 잘 다루지 않던 요인들을 발견할 수 있었는데, 기술 역량을 구성하는 요인들 중'기술개발 자신감'과 'R&D 수행방식', 조직관리 역량을 구성하는 요인들 중'조직문화', 네트워크 역량을 구성하는 요인들 중 '정신적 지원', 시장개척 역량을 구성하는 요인들 중 '시행착오를 통한 학습'과 '명성자원' 등이 이에 해당한다. 본 연구는 창업가의 배태조직 및 창업경험의 역할을 다룬 질적 연구로서 희소성이 있을 뿐 아니라 이 경험들이 형성하는 기업의 핵심경영자원을 4가지로 유형화하고 있어 향후 연구에서 유용하게 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
