With a MANET, data must transit through numerous intermediate nodes even before reaches its destination node. Local link connectivity is essential for the establishment and preservation of routes.•To decrease energy usage, these findings suggest the Aggregation-based Archive Population Optimization(AAPO) along with Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) Routing Protocol. For both local and global optimal routes, the proposed optimized modelgives top priority. There existtwo different types of rules used by AAPO to evaluate the quality of a route before using it for data transmission.•Instead of relying on just one path for transmitting data, AAPO leverages many paths.
