İsmail Dede Efendi’nin Sultan II. Mahmud vasfındaki mesnevisi

İsmail Dede Efendi, Türk müzik tarihinin en önemli musikişinas, bestekâr, hanende ve müzik hocalarından biridir. Babası Süleyman Ağa’nın hamam işletmeciliğiyle meşguliyeti nedeniyle “Hammâmî-zâde” lakabıyla tanınan İsmail Dede Efendi, dinî güfte mecmualarında “Derviş İsmail” olarak kaydedilmiştir. Her ne kadar musikişinaslığının ve bestekârlığının gölgesinde kalsa da İsmail Dede Efendi’nin bir yönü de şairliğidir ki bu yönü küçümsenmeyecek değerdedir. Bu çalışmada Dede Efendi’nin şairliği ve dönemin sultanı ile ilişkisini gösteren önemli bir eseri üzerinde durulacaktır. İsmail Dede Efendi’nin çalışmamıza konu olan bu eseri, Sultan II. Mahmud’u övmek için kaleme aldığı mesnevisidir. Mesnevinin ulaşabildiğimiz tek nüshası İstanbul Topkapı Sarayı Yazma Eserler Kütüphanesi, Türkçe Yazmalar Bölümü, E. H. 1658 arşiv numarasında kayıtlıdır. Üç mensur parça ve üç yüz otuz üç beyitten oluşan bu mesnevide Dede Efendi, Sultan II. Mahmud’u methetmiştir. Eserde Sultan Mahmud methiyesi ile birlikte münacat, na’t, dört halife ve Mevlana methiyesi, mersiye, rüya tabiri, tarih düşürme, mektup, hasb-ı hâl, tefe’ül ve Mevlana’nın Mesnevi’sinden manzum çeviri de bulunmaktadır. Makalede öncelikle kaynaklardan elde edilen bilgilerle İsmail Dede Efendi’nin hayatı özetlenmiştir. Daha sonra söz konusu mesnevinin nüsha tavsifi verilmiş ve ardından eser; şekil, muhteva, dil ve üslup açısından incelenmiştir. Yazının sonunda ise mesnevinin transkripsiyonlu metni verilmiştir. Bu vesileyle İsmail Dede Efendi gibi çok önemli bir musikişinasın daha önce yayımlanmamış bir eseri ilim âleminin istifadesine sunulmuştur. İsmail Dede Efendi is one of the most important musicians, composers, hanende and music teachers in the history of Turkish music. İsmail Dede Efendi, known as “Hammâmî-zâde” because of his father Süleyman Ağa's occupation of the baths, was recorded as “Dervish İsmail” in religious lyrics journals. Although he is overshadowed by his musical artistry and composition, another aspect of İsmail Dede Efendi is his poetry. In this study, an important work of Dede Efendi, which shows his poetry and his relationship with the sultan of the period, will be emphasized. This work of İsmail Dede Efendi, which is the subject of our study, was built by Sultan Mahmud II. This is the masnavi he wrote for Sultan Mahmud. The only copy of the masnavi we can reach is registered in the Istanbul Topkapı Palace Library Museum, Turkish Manuscripts Department, archive number E. H. 1658. In this masnavi consisting of three prose pieces and three hundred thirty-three couplets. Dede Efendi, praised Sultan Mahmud II. In the work, together with the praise of Sultan Mahmud, there are also munacat, na't, praise of the four caliphs and Mevlana, dirge, interpretation of dreams, falling history, letter, hasb-i hal, tefe'ül and verse translation from the Mesnevi. In the article, the life of İsmail Dede Efendi is summarized with the information obtained from the sources. Afterwards, the copy description of the masnavi in question was given, and then the work; examined in terms of form, content, language and style. At the end of the article, the transcriptioned text of the masnavi is given. On this occasion, a previously unpublished work of a very important musician like İsmail Dede Efendi was presented to the scientific community.
