Abstract Résumé Le travail musculaire excentrique est mieux connu aujourd’hui. Il est peu exigeant sur le plan énergétique. Il favorise la cicatrisation tissulaire et améliore la résistance à l’étirement du complexe musculotendineux. Le travail excentrique sous-maximal à vitesse lente renforce l’action inhibitrice des organes tendineux de Golgi sur le tonus musculaire. La réalisation de protocoles quantifiés et contrôlés sur dynamomètre isocinétique tenant compte des dangers potentiels sur le muscle et le tendon peut être proposée dans de nombreuses indications: lésions musculaires, tendineuses, ligamentaires, renforcement musculaire, instabilité fonctionnelle, hypertonie musculaire et raideur articulaire.
