-Alanine potassium bromide (LAPB) single crystals have been grown by the method of slow evaporation growth. The lattice parameters and crystalline nature of the grown LAPB single crystals have been studied by employing the single-crystal XRD analysis. The molecular functional groups of the grown LAPB were confirmed by FT-IR studies. The optical transparency and absorption of LAPB in the visible region were confirmed by the UV–Vis–NIR spectrum and photoluminescence study, respectively, by analyzing the observed wavelength regions of the respective absorption and emission. The optical energy band gap of the LAPB single crystal was calculated from optical absorption studies. The morphology of the grown LAPB crystal was evaluated by utilizing the SEM analysis. The second harmonic generation which ensures the nonlinear property of the crystal could be determined by the standard Kurtz and Perry powder method. The findings of the investigation authenticates that the LAPB crystal is a potential material for optoelectronic applications. |
