Summary: | The mathematical model of the system is derived as a set of algebraic and differential equations for each subsystem such as generator, exciter, lines, etc. From the linearised equations, the block diagram of the system is drawn. With proportional, integral and proportional plus integral plus differential controllers, the terminal voltage variations for an initial input disturbance, are obtained. An invariant controller is designed for the system. With an approximate easily realizable invariant controller, the terminal voltage variation for a load disturbance is obtained. The effect of prime mover controller is aleo investigated. From these studies it is found that invariant controller is better. |
