This work reports on the study of the effects of fragrance as stimulus on six subjects. Their ECG signals are acquired before and while inhaling the fragrance of sandal wood. The ECG time series are analysed in the light of fractal based nonlinear technique. For this purpose Hurst’s Rescaled range a...

Summary:This work reports on the study of the effects of fragrance as stimulus on six subjects. Their ECG signals are acquired before and while inhaling the fragrance of sandal wood. The ECG time series are analysed in the light of fractal based nonlinear technique. For this purpose Hurst’s Rescaled range analysis method has been utilized. The results are interesting and may be useful in the development of fragrance therapy.
