Summary:This article looks into the ways women lawyers worked during the Algerian Independence War from a gender perspective. These women lawyers were members of an anti-colonial lawyers group of the FLN (Front de Libération Nationale). Contrary to their male counterparts, they remained invisible in History even if they had also taken part in the practice of cause lawyering, mainly in metropolitan France. These women lawyers developed their own arguments and strategies. Therfore, they should also be written in the feminist law History as well as the anti-colonial History.
