| Abstract | L'infarctus ischémique cérébral du nouveau-né est souvent confondu avec une hémorragie parenchymateuse, l'association des deux étant d'ailleurs fréquente. Nous présentons un cas d'infarctus hémorragique chez un nouveau-né à terme diagnostiqué à la suite de convulsions survenues au 3e jour de vie. L'exploration ultrasonore et le doppler puisé et couleur ont montré précocement une lésion hyperéchogène associée à une diminution des vitesses du flux sanguin cérébral au niveau de l'artère cérébrale antérieure gauche, ce qui a permis d'affirmer le diagnostic.
In newborn infant, cerebral infarction is often difficult to distinguish from cerebral hemorrhage, both pathologies being moreover frequently associated. We report a left anterior stroke in a fullterm newborn who had seizures on the third day of life. Ultrasound scanning showed a hyperechogenic zone in the territory of the left anterior cerebral artery. Pulsed and color Doppler imaging showed a decreased blood flow velocity in comparison to the opposite side, thus enabling the diagnosis. |
