Summary: | The first example of ruthenium-mediated ring-opening metathesis polymerization generating highly cis, highly tactic polymers is reported. Polymerization of an enantiomerically pure 2,3-dicarboalkoxynorbornadiene revealed a syndiotactic microstructure. |
