We raise the question of whether Henry's law is applicable to any finite concentration and conclude that it is properly only a limiting law in the limit of infinite dilution.

We also relate Henry's law to the properties of regular solutions. We raise the question of whether Henry's law is applicable to any finite concentration and conclude that it is properly only a limiting law in the limit of infinite dilution.
A retrospective view of Henry's law and its applicability in any specific system at a finite concentration is tested. It can be concluded that Henry's law is only a limiting law and is adequate at low mole fractions but is useful for practical purposes where high precision is not required.
Rosenberg and Peticolas consider the evolution of Henry's law. They also review the question: Is there sufficient experimental evidence to demonstrate that Henry's law applies in any specific system at finite concentration or whether it is only a limiting law valid at zero concentration of solute?
