by Financial reliefThe cabinet on Thursday amended the rules by which financial relief will be offered to those who are losing their lives in the attack by honey bees or wasps The cabinet amended the order issued on October 25 2022 in this regard As per the new decision for attacks inside the forest a compensation of Rs 10 lakh will be offered while for the attacks outside the forest area a compensation of Rs 2 lakh will be offered The amendments will have a retrospective effect from October 25 2022 The cabinet also sanctioned a financial relief of Rs 5 lakh each to the family of three people who lost their lives in Kalamassery blastNew court in KollamThe cabinet decided to open a new special JFCM court in Kollam to try the cases that have been registered under the Negotiable Instruments Act As many as 10 posts have also been created for the purpose with the condition that the posts of LD typist attendant, clerk should be filled up through working arrangement or redeplo yment Guidelines for remission The cabinet approved the guidelines for giving remission to those who are convicted for the first time in life for an imprisonment period up to 10 years, who have completed half of their term However the cabinet declined the remission recommendation of Prakasan a convict in the case of molestation, service last year as the chief of fire, rescue services
